Do you remember Jet Li? The action star whose career skyrocketed because of his very physical roles in action films such as “Romeo Must Die,” “Lethal Weapon 4,” and “Shaolin Temple?”
Li Lianjie (born 26 April 1963), better known by his stage name Jet Li, is a Chinese film actor, film producer, martial artist, and retired Wushu champion who was born in Beijing. He is a naturalized Singaporean citizen.
It’s a good bet we are all pretty much familiar with him. After all, he’s one of the few who already made his own name in the realm of martial arts and cinematic films.
Apparently, the handsome action star who once looked so much younger than his age now appears frail and weak.
His recent photo showed a seemingly unrecognizable action star with a man who is assisting him walk. This immediately sparked a myriad of concerns about his physical health from the netizens all over the world.
Five years ago, the dynamic action star admitted that he is suffering from hyperthyroidism, a heart condition, and spinal complications.
It was also during the same year when it dawned upon the 55-year-old actor that he could “either continue making [action] films or spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.”
Jet Li’s last film appearance was in the Chinese film “League of Gods” in 2016. He was already bald back then, but not so frail as to keep him from acting.
