After years of being controversial because of an incident and case against Kapamilya actor Vhong Navarro, is Deniece Cornejo finally moved on? This controversial model is now making noise on social media after she has been appointed and now pledges to empower youth with her new title as the ambassador of Goodwill-Philippines.

(a) Deniece was chosen by an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for peace, unity, and development. The NGO is called SPMUDA International, which is based in Mindanao.
Here are three things to know about Cornejo’s appointment as Ambassador of Goodwill-Philippines for the youth.
1. Cornejo will serve the title for three years starting in August. She will also be the vice-chairwoman of the International Peace Day committee for a peace event on Sept. 22.
(a) Cornejo said that the appointment was made by the top management of SPMUDA International Organization for Peace and Development, Trans-Mundi Pax Humanitas and The Chivalric Order of Royal Bai, Mindanao. SPMUDA International is a United Nations (UN) affiliated NGO whose volunteer Goodwill Ambassadors work towards peace, goodwill, and humanitarian mission.
Cornejo will also work with local affiliates such as the Executive Vice President, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines-Antipolo chapter, United Women’s Artist Association of the Philippines (UWAAP), Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) for the International Peace Day.
“If you want to broaden your leadership, think beyond effective production, and start thinking in terms of how you can help the individuals on your team to improve themselves and motivate them to reach their potentials,” Manila Bulletin reported Cornejo as saying. (a)
2. Cornejo said she hopes to inspire people through her experiences. She wants to help the youth through scholarships.
Cornejo said she wants to help young people by providing them scholarships, with other groups as sources. Cornejo is very active on giving speeches and talks to inspire our youth. Very visible on several activities all around the country.

(a) 3. Despite having a controversial past, Cornejo has been active in public affairs. She held various positions and received awards for her activities related to the youth.
Cornejo has been the over-all chairman of a national congress for young Filipinos. She was also the recipient of awards such as the International Police Commission and Command in the campaign to end child hunger. She also received the “Dangal ng Bayan” for culture and the arts during the 2015 National Peace, Unity and Reconciliation Forum.
(a)Cornejo has been involved in a court case with TV host-actor Vhong Navarro. However, she refused to discuss matters regarding it.
“My aim is to empower youth from all walks of life,” ABS CBN reported Cornejo as saying regarding her new role as the new Ambassador of the Youth.
In an Instagram post, Deniece shares her goals to establish peace through Sustainable Development Goals and also a “future free of strife”.
“the United Nations calls on the people of the world to remember their common humanity and join together to build a future free of strife. Weeks from now will share on how Sustainable Development Goals can build peace.”
“In Gods will and hopefully my voice will be heard at an official event at United Nations Headquarters in New York this September.” (a)
