Sylvia Sanchez has a warning for the girlfriend of her son Arjo Atayde

Motherhood is a great honor and privilege, yet it is also synonymous with servanthood. Every day women are called upon to selflessly meet the needs of their families. Whether they are awake at night nursing a baby, spending their time and money on less-than-grateful teenagers, or preparing meals, moms continuously put others before themselves. (a)

This is why we believe in the saying, ‘Mothers Knows Best’. Because in reality, the only person who can understand and care for us completely is our Mom. Just like with this celebrity mom and son.

Arjo described his mother and how she’s on “level 100” whenever she lectures him.

“Sobrang mabunganga siya. Kung may level 100, nasa 100 siya.”

Arjo carried on with an unforgettable incident back in high school when he went home past his curfew.

“May isang time na umuwi ako ng madaling araw. (a)

Just as he opened the door, a light was suddenly turned on by Sylvia who was concerned with his whereabouts. Arjo, however, only has good things to say to his mother in a more serious tone.

“She’ll do everything to find out what you’re doing. She’ll do everything to protect you but she’ll do everything to love you at the same time.” (a)

When asked if she meddles in the son’s love life, Sylvia said that it was only reasonable that she’s involved with his girlfriend.

“Ganito lang kasi talaga, sinasabi ko sa kanya, kahit sino pa ‘yung dalhin mo sa aking babae, sikat or hindi, mayaman or hindi, basta mahal ako saka ang daddy mo, saka ang pamilya. Marunong makisama.

Kailangan talaga kasundo namin.”

Sylvia Sanchez admitted that it even came to a point where she had to be honest with Arjo that she didn’t like his girlfriend’s attitude. (a)

Sino nanay mo? Ako pa rin ‘yun. Hanggang huling hininga mo, ako pa rin ‘yun.’
