Tropical st0rm Mangkhut is said to be the typhoon expecting to head towards The Philippines’ Area Of Responsibility on Wednesday, September 12. And this is how strong it is on Its present location, Rota Island.

Rota, the southernmost island in the Northern Marianas, felt the brunt of Typho()n Mangkhut as it sliced through the region as it continued to move to the west side.

‘Mangkhut’ barrels towards northern Luzon. Mangkhut has maintained its strength as it moves closer to the Philippines. Mangkhut is expected to enter PAR on Wednesday, September 12, and will threaten Northern Luzon by Friday. (6)
Heavy rains and strong winds are expected over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ilocos Norte, and Batanes.
The state weather bureau earlier said a tropical cyclone warn1ng signal advisory may be raised over Cagayan Valley as early as Thursday, September 13.
Under PAGASA’s tropical cyclone intensity scale, a typho()n has to reach in excess of 220kph maximum sustained winds to be categorized as a super typho()n.
